An Old Fashioned is one of–rather, THE most historic cocktail in the world of drinks. While the recipe has shifted over the centuries, this is the most common and delicious recipe that we recommend. In addition to the Old Fashioned being a joy to drink, it is also one of the easiest cocktails to make at home and requires no additional barware.
Whether you’re channeling your inner Don Draper, serving a round of cocktails to your Thanksgiving guests, or enjoying a relaxing night in, the Old Fashioned is a classic cocktail that’s sure to please.
Directions:
Start with a rocks glass and fill with ice (we like to use a large ice ball), then add in your bourbon and simple syrup. Stir together for 15 seconds to mix them together and achieve proper dilution. Then, top the drink with two dashes of Angostura bitters and two dashes of orange bitters. To garnish, drop in a Luxardo cherry or squeeze in an orange peel. Serve, and enjoy!
